Final Report - UMPIRE (Use of a multidrug pill in reducing cv events)

Project ID: 241849
Funded under: FP7-HEALTH

Abstract

The vast majority of cardiovascular disease (CVD) patients, in both the developed and lower and middle income countries (LMIC), do not receive long-term recommended medications.

Therefore, the 'UMPIRE' project, which was funded by the European Community (EC), aimed to test the hypothesis that a fixed dose combination (FDC) CVD prevention strategy for the delivery of indicated medications might improve adherence to guideline-indicated therapy and induce favourable changes in people with or at high risk of CVD.

This document firstly includes tables and figures that accompany the project's final report. It also contains a series of presentations outlining the UMPIRE approach and findings. Finally, it closes with project newsletters, which were used as part of the UMPIRE dissemination activities.
