High Level Group On Innovation And Provision Of Medicines (G10 Medicines) - Report
The High Level Group on Innovation and Provision of Medicines � The G10 Medicines Group - was set up by Commissioners Liikanen and Byrne following a symposium on Pharmaceutical Industry Competitiveness held in December 2000. Its objective was to explore ways of improving industry competitiveness in Europe while encouraging high levels of health protection. The G10 report puts forward 14 recommendations covering benchmarking, competition, stimulating innovation, patients and enlargement. The Commission will respond to the report in the form of a communication to be adopted in the first half of 2003.
