Broad band far infrared Fabry-Perot with variable finesse
A new type of Fabry-Perot etalon that works on a very broad band of far infrared radiation has been tested. This implementation has been obtained by replacing the usual meshes with wire polarisers. Its finesse can be adjusted by rotating one polariser with respect to the other. The Fabry-Perot effect has been obtained in reflection instead of transmission.
