Aqueous reactions of Plutonium at an alumina surface were studied in the pH range from 6 to 10 as a function of ionic strength, solid-to-liquid ratio, total Pu concentration, and in the presence of humic and fulvic acids representative of deep groundwater environments. The adsorption behaviour of Pu was found to parallel that of pentavalent Np.
