A general expert system cooperation model : architecture based on frame representation
Much effort has been devoted by the AI research community in recent years, to designing tools for problem solving frameworks which are based on the cooperation of intelligent agents. It is reasonable to assume the effective solution of complex problems requiring a wide suite of expertise can be achieved only through this approach, which combines symbolic and non-symbolic problem solving modules. The architecture of such a system, under development in the Laboratory of AI of JRC-Ispra is discussed in this paper. The general framework under development is intended to be used for management of chemical emergencies.
