The development described in this report responds to the need to have reference lamps for the measurements of luminous flux which are as similar as possible, from the point of view of spectral distribution, to the lamps to be measured in practice. The reference lamps are calibrated by metrology laboratories for industry. In this particular case the objective was to develop a stable reference lamp similar to tungsten halogen lamps. The new filament design provides a luminous intensity which is uniform about the preferred viewing axis (+ - 0.5% variation in an angle of + - 5). The aging behaviour of the lamps being complex it is necessary to follow the recommendations given in the report.
