Abstract

The numerical modelling of plasmas is of fundamental importance for the magnetic fusion program. The experiments are becoming more and more complex and costly. The use of computers and supercomputers for theoretical investigations is mandatory. This paper surveys what is currently undertaken at CRPP in the various domains of concern: plasma equilibrium, stability and rf heating, with emphasis on the latter subject.
