Abstract

The third meeting of the CEC Natural Analogue Working Group (NAWG) was held on June 15-17, 1988, at Snowbird (USA), followed by a field trip to natural analogue sites and to the Yucca Mountain. First, a review of progress made in the various natural analogue programmes was carried out. Then, discussions centred on the issue: "How can natural analogues be used in support of performance assessments, both in justification of the results and presentation to the public". A statement was drafted by the Group to summarize the debates. Most of the technical presentations made are grouped in appendices.
