Abstract

Depressurisation phenomena of different containers are analysed by the computer codes SAFIRE and DEERS. Several comparisons between experiments and calculations with the codes under consideration here, are made. The parameters treated in the present work are the pressure and mass inventory of the vessel. The following were examined: the influence of flow regimes in the vessel, the influence of the sizing parameters for the vessel, the influence of the starting conditions, and the dependence on the type of the vent.
