Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

This evaluation report on the EURAM programme falls within the framework of the Commission's evaluation policy, submitted in the form of a Plan of Action to the Council. It foresees the use of independent external experts for the production of Community research programme evaluation reports. The main body of the report consists of a general introduction followed by six chapters: new materials, the main features of EURAM, EURAM and European industry, co-operation between partners in the programme: EURAM and basic research, EURAM and other national and European programmes, and management of the programme. The annexes comprise a series of analyses of completed questionnaires received from participants in the programme and from industrialists, individual assessments of the ceramics, composites, magnetic and light metals sectors, and a separate evaluation of the Substitution Materials Programme 1982-5 carried out by a specialized firm of scientific and technological consultants.
