This publication contains the proceedings of a conference on controlled fusion and plasma physics. The first paper discusses the concentration of Deuterium in the central regions of JET plasmas. This is expressed as a fraction of the electron concentration, using four methods involving neutron detection. These measurements agreed within experimental error with values deduced from Z(eff) measurements using visible Bremsstrahlung radiation. Other papers concerned topics such as the consequences of trapped beam ions on the analyis of Neutron Emission data, the behaviour of chaotic magnetic field lines in a tokamak, the behaviour of impurities during the H-mode in JET and ballooning stability analysis of JET H-mode discharges.
