Cognitive modelling as simulation technique for the development of intelligent user interfaces
Potential uses of cognitive modelling in the development of intelligent user interfaces are discussed. The architecture of an operator behaviour model is described in the context of a man-machine simulation, focussing on the techniques used to represent the processes of reasoning. The structure of the knowledge bases is illustrated.
