Abstract

Several models for anomalous transport in tokamaks are briefly described, and their predictions compared with JET results. This includes the drift wave model and an estimate of the heat transport across a partially ergodised magnetic field. The evidence for a heat pinch in JET is discussed. Such a heat pinch may be expected from quasi-linear theory.
