Numerical aspects of multiphase detonation modelling
This paper presents the development of a mathematical model of detonations in multiphase systems. The governing partial differential equations and the constitutive physics are briefly described. The principles which underly the finite difference scheme used to solve this problem are emphasised and some examples of the results obtained with this extremely stable and robust scheme are presented.
