Spatially resolved soft X-ray (1-33nm) spectroscopy of tokamak plasmas
A description is given of the space-resolved soft X-ray (1-33nm) instrumentation developed for the Tore Supra tokamak. By using a programmable hydraulic jack to move the spectrometer, up to ten spatial profiles of many impurity lines are obtained during a single plasma discharge, with a time resolution which can be as short as 600 ms.
