Contributions to the 16th European Conference on Controlled Fusion and Plasma Physics (Venice, 13-17 March 1989)
This report contains the text of twenty papers presented at the 16th European Conference on Controlled Fusion and Plasma Physics in March 1989. Early papers discussed low aspect ratio stellarator configurations, high frequency magnetic fluctuations on the FT tokamak, semicollisional and other microinstabilities, ignition domain and plasma burn control and 2-D simulations of implosion, collapse and stagnation of laser fusion shells. Other papers were concerned with ohmic FT discharges, decay of LH waves, sawteeth, plasma stability, ion Bernstein wave heating and erosion-redisposition processes. Later papers discussed the FTU pump limiter, high resolution spectroscopy, thermal flux asymmetries and high field tokamaks.
