Abstract

To improve quality assurance and quality control in individual monitoring the Commission of the European Communities (CEC) organises from time to time intercomparison programmes for individual dosemeters to allow dosimetry services of the member states to compare the quality of their dosimetry systems. The experience gained in the course of the comparison measurements of the CEC and PTB provides strong arguments for using computer technology for handling the data. The procedure for collecting the data in an intercomparison programme is described. Details of the software for an IBM PC, XT, AT or an IBM- compatible computer are given. Examples of plots of evaluated data are shown.
