  • The certification of the contents (mass fraction) of organochlorine pesticides (HCB, a-HCH, b-HCH, g-HCH, b-heptachlor epoxide, p,p'-DDE, dieldrin, endrin and p, p'-DDT) in two milk powders

Abstract

This report describes the preparation of two milk-powder materials certified for their contents of chlorinated pesticides. CRM 187 is a natural milk powder whereas CRM 188 is spiked at relatively low levels. The report deals with the homogeneity and stability tests for these milk powders in respect of their contents of pesticides and fat. Analytical techniques used in the certification are summarised. All individual results and recommendations for analysis are given. Indicative values are presented for some pesticides not certified in CRM 187.
