Abstract

The LOBI y-densitometers contain a spectrum stabilization loop, and operate at count rates of around 1 MHz. The high stabilization factor achieved gives them excellent immunity to scintillator and photomultiplier drifts, due to temperature, magnetic fields and fatigue phenomena. The very high counting rate gives excellent immunity to low frequency interference signals due to mechanical vibration, or electrical or magnetic pick-up.
