PLUME OBSERVATIONS FROM LANDSAT SATELLITE
The dispersion of plumes released from tall stacks into the atmosphere is generally studied by means of ground based instruments, both mobile and fixed; relatively few experiments based on airborne measurements have been carried out. We describe here some observations of a power plant plume taken from an altitude of 900 km by LANDSAT satellites.
