USE OF LOBI TEST FACILITY FOR PLANT TRANSIENT SIMULATION
The LOBI facility which was originally designed for investigating large break PWR LOCAs, is being modified to adapt it to the simulation requirements of small break LOCA and Special Transients experiments. A preliminary experimental programme for Special Transients, set up by a European Expert Group contains a total of 11 short term and long term transients. Survey calculations and two scoping tests will be performed as basis for the definition of the final test matrix. Preliminary calculations for two different transients, using three different codes have predicted that the LOBI facility behaviour is very similar to that predicted for a real PWR.
