TERNARY WORKING FLUIDS FOR ABSORPTION SYSTEMS WITH SALT - LIQUID MIXTURES AS ABSORBENT
The combinations of refrigerant - absorbents which are commercially used in absorption plants, do have their special drawbacks. With ammonia - water these are high pressure, high value of heat capacity of solution and the need of rectification. With water - lithium bromide this is the limited field of operation by crystallization. Obviously the operation characteristics of absorption plants can be improved by the introduction of new working systems. Search and introduction of new working pairs was the aim of an experimental research project, which did include the search of new absorbents for well known refrigerants and also determination of properties of less known refrigerants.
