Abstract

The convector called ECOVECTEUR (registered mark, patented model), features a high heat extraction capability from the heating water making it quite suitable for running on low enthalpy geothermal fluids (T <= 55 degrees C). The site selected for test is the Residence Yves du Manoir in Dax (Landes, France). A series of in-situ measurements have shown the suitability of the ECOVECTEURS to geothermal space heating (55 degrees C/35 degrees C), as far as performance and operation are concerned, provided that flow rates are previously well balanced allowing a full heat extraction and with an unsophisticated adapted control system (thermostatic valves on every heating device).
