Abstract

During the last decade the number of operating power reactors has increased considerably. The protection of environment and public against the hazards of this new form of energy is achieved by a number of regulatory and technical measures. Reactor Safety aims at the permanent improvement of such measures. Reactor Safety is part of the larger context "Nuclear Safety". Potential hazards and technical complexity of nuclear reactors justify, however, a specific analytical approach.
