THREE-QUADRANT MEASUREMENTS OF PHOTOVOLTAIC DEVICES BY MEANS OF PHOTOVOLTAIC LOAD
The essential electric property of any PV device is the relation between current and voltage under various loads. The measurement of this IV characteristic may be done most simply using a rheostat or an electronic load. Problems arise if the current to voltage ratio increases, which is especially the case for high current modules with large area cells in parallel. In the present paper we describe a simple method which avoids these difficulties, and which moreover may be used for cells, modules and arrays.
