Abstract

Concentrations of 33 organic compounds and of total volatile organics have been determined in indoor and outdoor air in 14 homes and one office building in Northern Italy. Mean indoor/outdoor concentration ratios ranging from 1.3 to 52 have been measured. In addition a detailed analysis of volatile organics present in the air of six indoor spaces has been performed. Between 47 and 118 organic compounds could be identified and quantified in these samples.
