Abstract

The HFR Petten is one of Europe's most powerful and best utilized multi-purpose materials testing reactors. Since first operation in 1960, the reactor and associated irradiation facilities have been upgraded regularly to be a versatile, well equipped and competitive research tool available to partners inside and outside the European Communities. A replacement of the 20 years old reactor vessel is currently being prepared. The posters emphasize particular features of HFR Petten: + versatile access to core and pool side facility + mixed meutron spectrum and flux tailoring + various standardized and reloadable multi-purpose irradiation thimbles.
