Abstract

Calculations based on guiding centre orbit theory of losses of charge fusion products in JET with concentric circular magnetic flux surfaces show that 1-30 % of these particles immediately get lost. Several types of detectors for measurements of particle flux at plasma boundary are considered including scintillators and light guides. Theoretical studies of non prompt losses as well as experimental investigations of detector capabilities are suggested.
