THE CERTIFICATION OF BORON IN PRIMARY INGOT ALUMINIUM
This report sets out the experimental procedures used for the certification of boron in primary ingot aluminium, which has already been certified for carbon and oxygen. Samples were analyzed by seven different laboratories using the following methods: spectrophotometry, ICP emission spectrometry, isotope dilution mass spectrometry, spark source mass spectrometry and charged particle activation analysis. The analytical methods and the statistical approach to analyse the data are described.
