Abstract

The 8 Tesla, 1 m bore test facility SULTAN-I has been tested for the first time on June 1983. In this paper we present results of the cool-down and of the first operation of the ENEA magnet. The results are satisfying but the opportunity was evidenced of applying minor changes to the hydraulic circuit to further improve the performance.
