DENSITY THRESHOLD FOR LOWER HYBRID WAVE INTERACTION WITH ELECTRONS IN THE FT TOKAMAK
The density threshold occurring in the electron heating by LH waves in FT was studied in a wide range of plasma parameters (B-T = 4-8 T, I-p = 200-400 kA, n >= 2.5x10**13 cm-3) and operating in H and D. This density threshold is similar to the one occurring in Current Drive experiments. No significant dependence on any of the above parameters or on the working gas was found, the interaction with electrons disappearing for n >= 5x10**13 cm-3 in all the cases studied.
