Abstract

An experimental work is carried out at Musile di Piave near Venice supported by the Commission of the European Communities - Contract EE-A-4-047-I - in order to study the performance of an ammonia water absorption heat pump coupled either to a vertical tube earth seasonal storage or to an energy roof. During summer the energy roof recharges the storage. The plant which will be described in the next section is monitored so that it is possible to evaluate both absorption heat pump and energy roof performances under different meteorological conditions. The experimental results can be useful in giving some project sizing suggestions and in adjusting the estimates in full simulation of systems under different conditions.
