Abstract

The High Temperature Materials (HTM) programme has been established as part of the Joint Research Centre actions, to promote the development of materials in high temperature service in European industrial and energy technologies. The programme, which includes 4 major projects, viz. study of steels and alloys study of engineering subcomponents HTM Data Bank HTM Information Centre is addressed to the determination of fundamental behaviour of materials in environments representing typical industrial process conditions, in order to provide information describing component performance during operational life and to establish a reference behaviour to facilitate the prediction of remanent life of components in service.
