PHASE STABILITY AND CORROSION PHENOMENA IN CR - MN AUSTENITIC STEELS EXPOSED TO PURE LITHIUM
Samples of four commercial, nitrogen alloyed, Cr-Mn austenitic steels have been heat treated at 873 K up to 4000 h in the presence of pure Li. Phase and elemental composition changes occurring in the materials were investigated by electron microscopy and analytical techniques. The results are compared with those obtained with AISI 316 for the same experimental conditions.
