THE POTENTIAL USE OF STOCK OPTION PLANS AS INCENTIVES BY NEW TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES WITHIN THE EEC
The target of this study is to look for conditions for the introduction and development of stock option plans in the EEC. First, the report describes the mechanisms of these plans, the situation in the USA and in the European Community countries. Then, the authors list all the obstacles to the development of these plans and give recommendations in order to remove these obstacles. These recommendations would favour the introduction of stock option plans for successful small and medium-sized enterprises, which would permit them to attract competent and experienced managers.
