Abstract

In order to reduce the monthly power peak which directly influences the amount of the electricity bills of industrial customers, ACEC has developed an automatic peak surveying and controlling equipment, called LISSACEC. The system integrates a certain number of well chosen loads over 15 minute intervals, and issues adequate management orders to them. This is of course carried out in accordance with the requirements of every single controlled load and should in no way interfere with the production schemes. The basic functioning principles of the equipment are outlined, as well as the interfaces with the outside. Results obtained in a typical workshop situation are given as examples of what to expect from the LISSACEC system.
