THE CERTIFICATION OF THE CONTENTS (MASS FRACTION) OF CADMIUM, COBALT, COPPER, IRON, MERCURY, NICKEL, LEAD, ZINC, ANTIMONY, SELENIUM, THALLIUM AND CHROMIUM IN A SAMPLE OF A CITY WASTE INCINERATION ASH
The report describes the preparation of a reference material: City Waste Incineration Ash. It deals also with the homogeneity and stability tests. The contents (mass fractions) of the elements: cadmium, cobalt, copper, mercury, nickel, lead, antimony, selenium, thallium, zinc, iron and chromium are certified. This material is particularly difficult to analyse because of the chemical resistance of the matrix and the high concentrations of interfering elements. The analytical methods are discussed in some detail and conclusions and suggestions on the procedures advisable to obtain accurate results are given.
