Abstract

The research on constitutive equations of materials at high strain rate employs techniques of wave propagation applied to a special Hopkinson bar, modified for testing large specimens and for performing special jump tests. Measurements of deformation are performed by strain gauges, Moire techniques and, tentatively, by X-ray diffraction.
