HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FIRST LOBI - MOD-2 TESTS
The LOBI-MOD2 Small Leak Programme was started in April 1984. Six tests have been executed until December 1984. Some characteristic experimental results from these tests are presented in this paper. In two of these tests basic phenomena were investigated; in the first the secondary system heat removal capabilities under a variety of primary and secondary side conditions, in the second the facility characteristics for natural circulation - reflux condenser conditions. The other four were LOCA tests. Two of them had the same break size of 1 %, but different HPIS injection locations. The 1 % cold leg break with cold leg HPIS-ECC water injection (LOBI-MOD2 Test A2-81) was selected for the OECD - CSNI International Standard Problem 18. One was a 2 % break test; the last one, a 10 % break test was performed to link the small break tests to the large break tests which were performed in the LOBI-MOD1 facility.
