CONTRIBUTION TO GOOD LABORATORY PRACTICE FOR LEAD AND CADMIUM MONITORING IN BLOOD IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE BIOLOGICAL SURVEY OF POPULATION
This paper examines the approach adopted by the Commission of the European Communities to Quality Control (QC) exercise during population monitoring survey towards the determination of trace metals such as lead and cadmium in blood. The aim was to establish a good laboratory practice for the laboratories participating in this epidemiological investigation. The monitoring of the QC consists of an International Quality Control (IQC) and an External Quality Control (EQC).
