MEASURING PROBLEMS AT 120 GHZ
In order to heat the plasma in future nuclear fusion reactors, microwave tubes are required which produce high results in the area 1 MW, in the frequency field 100-150 GHz. The group involved in this project concentrated on the development of such a tube, a gyrotron. In connection with their development, measuring problems arise for the hollow conductor around 120 GHz, which are demonstrated in this article, and for which possible solutions are proposed.
