Abstract

This book gives the present status of the determination of boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulphur in non-ferrous metals. Extended descriptions are given of both classical physico-chemical techniques and experience collected in more than 10 years of European cooperation in the frame of the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR). Special attention is also devoted to the preparation of analysis samples, their surface treatment and the evaluation of residual surface contamination, especially for oxygen and carbon.
