Résumé

The research concerns the study of self-regulating circulation induced by the presence of a compact heat exchanger consisting of horizontal tubes in a fluidized bed. This phenomenon is demonstrated and the motor force of the circulation is quantified. Good heat exchange coefficients are obtained. The method offers an interesting alternative in classic industrial situations where combustion and heat recovery take place in the same part of the bed. In fact, in the case of self-regulating circulation, the presence of a compact exchanger enables us to envisage the "division" of the reactor into a distinct zone of combustion and one of heat exchange.
