Abstract

The macrosectoral European model HERMES was developed with a view to taking into account energy in the most detailed manner. Energy is represented therein as production factor as well as a sector of production. Energy is also defined explicitly in private consumption. This report describes first the interface between energy and economy as represented in the HERMES model. After the description of the working of the energy submodel, the results are given by sector and energy products.
