QUANTITATIVE INDIVIDUATION OF IMPURITIES IN THE PRESSURE VESSEL OF THE GARIGLIANO REACTOR
In the event of decommissioning the Garigliano reactor, it is fundamentally important to know the level of activity induced by neutron flux in order to choose the techniques of closing down, protection systems, means of transport and final repository which are most likely to reduce the risk to personnel and the population and accord well with economic requirements. This report describes the methods of calculation employed to estimate such activity, and to evaluate the results obtained, which are in good agreement with some experimental measurements.
