GLASS LEACHING IN WET POROUS MEDIA
Leaching tests of a borosilicate glass containing simulated HLW in different wet porous media have been performed using a simple set up. The leaching of glasses immersed in clay pastes, humid sand and red sea sediments has been investigated. An attempt to evaluate obtained results in terms of silica dissolution and diffusion is presented. The importance of absorptive properties of clays and of the silica content in the interstitial solutions is illustrated.
