Abstract

As part of the JRC Remote Sensing programs, "Coastal Transport of Pollutants", a large quantity of superficial and depth samples were collected during measurement campaigns in 1982 and 1983. Multiparametrical data about marine particulate were derived from X-ray fluorescence analytical methods. On the basis of elemental data, in particular on the ratio Si/Al, a mineralogical composition of aluminosilicates is postulated. Heavy metals like Cu, Cd, Pb, Zn in the suspended matter and in the liquid phase are analyzed at the same time. By means of matrix correlation a link between original and calculated parameters is discussed.
