PROPERTIES OF THE FLUCTUATING AND MEAN MAGNETIC FIELDS AS A FUNCTION OF THETA IN RFP
Stabilized Pinch and Reversed Field Pinch configurations with various values of the pinch parameter THETA have been studied. The properties of the mean and fluctuating fields are discussed as a function of THETA. The variation with THETA of the distribution of the parallel current density is presented. Various quantities such as plasma inductance and resistance and various form factors are derived. The mean plasma quantities are discussed separating the dominant parallel current contribution from the plasma pressure contribution.
