Abstract

In irradiation experiments and single crystal preparations of binary and ternary compounds, trace element determinations in U, Np, Pu and Am matrices are necessary. Conventional optical spectral measurement are often complicated by line rich spectra which seriously degrades trace analyses. ICP-MS may overcome these problems. Optical actinide spectra will be compared with ICP-MS spectra for trace determinations in U matrices.
