Abstract

The RF properties of the two types of JET prototype antennae ("trombone" and multipole) are investigated by making measurements on full scale flat models, comparing these with theoretical calculations from numerical codes and experimental tests on TFR with a JET model antenna. The main concerns are (1) transparency and RF losses from a thick Faraday screen, (ii) effective electrical length of a twin trombone antenna and (iii) coupling efficiency of a non-resonant structure.
